How to Write Better Essays: 5 Practical Tips

Writing better essays doesn’t mean to make the use of highly complex words and phrases to impress the jury. The entire idea of a better essay writing lies in the understanding of the topic/ question, reframe the explanation as per your belief and finally writing them in a paragraph format with the simple language that keeps it user friendly.
In addition to these there are also few more points that are expected to be used and practically implemented, such as:-
  •   Read the statement/ topic /question again and again by going back to score 1 after every paragraph written and before beginning a new one. This is a simple way to keep your paragraphs linked together.
  • Select the idea you find is the best and you are clear about. Leave out some of less relevant ones to avoid unnecessary explanations. Make your explanation the clearest one not the best one. The practical solution for such implementation is to simply write about what you know through your experience.
  •  Practically speaking an example or illustration is easier to mention than making explanations. So shift your focus accordingly and describe the situation in a better way. Avoid writing too much, the jury has too many essays to read and they will not invest too much time reading a single work. Around 350 words are more than enough whereas it may vary as per situations as well. Also with more writing there are more chances of language or grammar mistakes and going off the topic. Just be relevant and precise.
  • Don’t lose your focus on the essay’s backbone i.e. “The Introduction” of your essay. Make sure your introduction identifies the question along with outlining your position. Don’t make a hasty rush! Always remember that first impression does matters.
  • Also the first topic or sentences of each paragraph must be crystal clear and specifically to the point with gradually moving ahead in the essay with multiple explanatory paragraphs. Finally end your essay with the clear conclusion. It’s highly recommended to start off generally and then build towards being specifically explanatory.
With these simple bits alignment your essay tends to be on the right track and you will definitely be able to write a better piece as compared to your previous work. Just take care of these points in the essay and the rest of the essay will fall into the right place itself.
